These 8’-tall custom torchieres are permanently mounted to the floor of the lobby in an office building in Singapore.  Each torchiere contains a framing projector to highlight a Chinese red triangle in the ceiling three floors above, as well as reflector lamps to wash the walls of the cylindrical atrium.

I created a very detailed set of drawings and sent them to the architects in Singapore. To make this project even more complicated, all measurements are shown in metric units (mm).

The torchieres were fabricated exactly according to the drawings.  When I finally made a site visit to Singapore a year later, I saw that they did a perfect job of providing the desired lighting effects.
