Art

I went to a great art school – Parsons School of Design in New York City.  However, I did not study “fine arts”.  I was in the Environmental Design department.  That means that I studied Urban Design, Architecture, Interior Design and Product Design.  Ironically, I didn’t have much training in drawing, sketching, color, etc.  Even so, I’ve always had an interest in fine arts.

I bought my first iPad in 2022 and I also learned about the Procreate app.  It cost $9.99 – I couldn’t afford not to buy it!  I immediately fell in love with the app and spent a lot of time learning how to do some really cool things with it.  When you scroll through the following galleries, you’ll see a lot of mandalas (which are very easy to create – if you know how).

I’ve included other artwork as well as some photos I’ve taken over the years.  I’ve also included four charcoal drawings I made in the “Drawing at the Met” class when I was at Parsons.  One of the cool features of Procreate is that it lets you save a video of the steps you took to make a piece of digital art.  I’ve included a couple of them for your viewing pleasure.
