Lighting Software & Rendering

I’ve taught many classes about computerized software for lighting calculations and rendering for both interior as well as exterior projects.  This series of images shows some complex projects that I’ve taught students to create.

Bowling alley

This is a rendering of the bowling alley created in AGI32.
This is a "faux-color" rendering of the bowling alley created in AGI32. Colors correspond to footcandle levels. That helps to verify compliance with appropriate light level requirements.

Stairwell

These are a series of renderings of the stairwell.  There is also a “faux-color” rendering.  That correlates colors to specific light levels.  This allows you to visually evaluate if you have achieved the desired light levels.  In the case of a stairwell, since it’s a “path of emergency egress”, that’s a particularly important determination.
