Lighting design in the digital age is a very complex endeavor.  A lot of experience is required to create designs that accurately depict what you will see in a completed project.

 

This is not a matter of pushing a button – then assuming that the completed space will look exactly like what you see on the screen!  It requires extensive knowledge of photometrics, color temperature, light distribution as well as software rendering capabilities to ensure that the results accurately portray a lighting scheme.
